How the calculation works
The calculator turns width × height × quantity into square metres of sign face. Material is that area times your cost per m², plus a waste allowance for offcuts; labour is charged per m² as well. LED and power supplies, design and installation are added as totals for the job.
Margin is added on top of the total cost as a percentage (cost × margin). VAT is calculated on the price including margin. You get the quote amount before and after VAT and the net price per square metre.
Which figures to enter
For channel letters the cost depends on letter height and return length; entering the rectangle the letters cover and setting the cost per m² accordingly is a practical approach.
- Material (m²): what face and body material (composite, acrylic, aluminium, vinyl…) costs you per m²
- Labour (m²): your labour cost per m² for cutting, bending, assembly and paint
- Waste: the share of material lost in cutting; shops typically use somewhere between a few and twenty percent, depending on the shape
- LED and power supply: modules, drivers and wiring for illuminated work, as a total
- Installation: crew, travel and any lift or crane hire for the job, as a total
About the default values
The figures shown when the form opens are examples only, not market prices. VAT starts at 20%, the general rate in Türkiye; check the rate that applies to your work and change it if needed. Municipal sign taxes and permit fees are not included.
