Why a separate app
Most sign work does not happen at a computer. Installers are on site, CNC and paint teams are in the workshop, and the manager is often with a customer. The web app opens on a phone, but the field needs the camera, the dialler, maps and screens you can use with one hand.
The app works on the same data and the same rules as the web. The system decides which buttons an order shows, so a move refused on the web is not offered on the phone either. Everything done in the app shows on the web straight away.
What is in the app
The app runs in Turkish and English, and if you belong to more than one company you can switch between them.
- Home: the work waiting for you and today's installations
- Orders: ready-made views (open, overdue, due this week and more), search, order details, stage moves, sub-status, a short order form
- Files and photos: shoot with the camera and attach to the order, send the customer a design approval link
- Installations: agenda, planning, directions in your maps app, the installation photo and completing the job
- Customers: search, add and edit accounts, tap to call, open the address on a map
- Quotes: read them, record acceptance or rejection, convert an accepted one to an order
- Stock: look up materials and their stock; decide on purchase requests
- Notifications, global search, account settings and active sessions
As an app for installation crews
- 1
See the job
Installers see the jobs assigned to them and installations with no team yet. One tap opens the address in the phone's maps app.
- 2
Take the photo
When the sign is up, take the photo in the app or pick it from the gallery, and it uploads straight to the order. iPhone HEIC photos work too.
- 3
Complete the installation
An installation cannot be completed without a date and a checked installation photo. Once it is closed, the office sees it as done; nobody needs to call and ask.
In the workshop and the office
Production staff see the jobs at their own stage on the home screen. They open an order, check sizes and files, move it to the next stage when their part is done, or set a sub-status such as “At chrome plating”. In parallel production they complete their department's task from the phone, and the responsible department, which finishes last, takes the photo of the finished work there too.
For a manager, the home screen sums up the day: open orders, overdue jobs, what is due today and this week, today's installations, critical stock and purchase requests waiting for approval. A designer can send the customer a design approval link from the phone, and if the customer approved by phone, an authorised member records it on the order. An accepted quote can be converted to an order without going back to the office.
Notifications
You are notified when an order reaches you, when a job is due soon or overdue, about tomorrow's installations and when stock drops to its critical level. The unread count shows on the tab, and while the app is open new notifications arrive without a refresh. Choose in your notification preferences which kinds you receive in the app and by email.
Left to the web on purpose
Some work is designed for a large screen and was not squeezed onto a phone. For these the app sends you to the web app:
- The workflow editor, product templates and the catalog
- Team, roles and invitations; company settings
- Subscription and payments, and signing up
- Editing quotes, bulk actions, saved views, the production board and printing
- Material records and stock postings, exports and the audit trail page
Security
The app uses the same session system as the web, and keeps the session in the phone's secure storage (iOS Keychain, Android Keystore). Your account's sessions page shows which devices are signed in. If the subscription is read-only, the app only allows reading too.
